Our client is Europe’s largest ground transportation company who is seeking a qualified and experienced Vehicle Installation Engineer to join their busy workshop team which services a fleet of over 5000 vehicles, all of which are under 3 years old. You would be joining an established company which has been in business for over 40 years and focusses heavily on training and promoting their staff, providing an excellent employee benefit scheme. This position is based in West Drayton, UB7.
Salary and Benefits:
Basic salary is £22,000 to £23,000 depending on experience, plus overtime and generous employee benefits scheme which includes 25 days paid annual leave / holiday per year in addition to the Bank Holidays, private medical cover, company pension, staff discount on journey bookings, ongoing industry specific training including manufacturer booked training, cycle to work scheme and free staff parking.
Type of Role:
This is a full time permanent role working Monday to Friday, 7.00am – 3.30pm.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities:
- 4F Wifi
- MDA / Cradles
- Maintaining stock levels
- Installation of electrical equipment
- Testing of electrical equipment
- Fault finding
- Support any retro fitted electrical equipment fitted in vehicles
Skills and Experience Required:
It is essential that you have been fully trained to NVQ Level 2 or equivalent as a Vehicle Technician (mechanic), have previous experience in an installations role, and a good general knowledge of vehicles. A full valid driving licence is essential for this role. Please note that copies of certificates will be required at point of job offer.
Having experience with Ford, Toyota or Mercedes-Benz vehicles would be an advantage but not essential, however you must be skilled to the level that you can work unsupervised in carrying out installations whilst maintaining the highest of quality control standards.
